On Friday, 15th May 2026, Genesis Math and Science Academy marked a joyful double milestone — its One Year Anniversary and an Open Day — with a colourful celebration on the school premises in Nkoranza.
Parents, prospective families, and members of the wider community came out in force, and the school was honoured to welcome traditional leaders and elders, resplendent in kente, who joined staff and pupils to mark the occasion.
The programme was full of energy from start to finish. Pupils took to the microphone for spirited singing performances, and the school choir delighted the crowd with songs celebrating the academy’s first year. Younger pupils charmed guests with lively skits, including a playful “doctor and patient” role-play that had everyone smiling.
As part of the Open Day, visiting families were given a first-hand look at school life at Genesis Academy, touring the campus, meeting teachers, and seeing pupils in their element. It was an opportunity for prospective parents to experience the warmth and energy that define the Genesis community.
Speaking at the event, one of the visiting elders praised the school’s rapid growth and its impact on the Nkoranza community, encouraging pupils to keep working hard and dream big. “It was eye-opening to see how far the school has come in just one year,” said a proud parent in attendance.
One year on from opening its doors, Genesis Math and Science Academy continues to grow from strength to strength, and this celebration was a proud reminder of the community spirit that powers that growth.
